John Fawcett is a Beasley Intercultural consultant specialising in assisting organisations to thrive in complex and internationally diverse contexts. John was initially trained as a psychologist, and has deep international experience in challenging roles. He draws on his people skills and experience to achieve results for clients.
As Director, Organisational Transitions and Staff Wellness for Save the Children USA, John was involved in the design, development and implementation of online, virtual and interactive environments for training, coaching and mentoring global teams. He also was responsible for the design and delivery of organisational development programs in Country Office contexts.
As part of the global leader curriculum and process, he developed and implemented a program focusing on change, transitions and teambuilding that to enhance leadership’s ability to protect and enhance the wellness of staff.
John has also worked as Director, Staff Support Services/Stress & Trauma Management for World Vision in Liberia, then as Human Resources and Organisational Development Manager for World Vision in the USA. In these roles, he enabled the provision of direct stress and trauma service programs to 17,000 staff working in over 90 countries.
John has worked in Laos, Viet Nam, India, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, Cambodia, USA, Afghanistan, Nepal, Pakistan, Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Senegal, Palestine, Israel, Romania, Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland, UK, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Canada, Costa Rica, Honduras, Australia and New Zealand.
John has a MA Social Work and BA Psychology from Canterbury University, New Zealand, and has professional training as a counsellor, family therapist, dispute mediator and facilitator.
