Uppinder Bhatia

Uppinder Bhatia is a BI Consultant focused on assisting clients navigate the complex Indian cultural and business environment. Uppinder reads, writes and speaks fluent Hindi and is also fluent in Punjabi. He conducts regular market oriented research in India and other parts of Asia, and is conversant with the much talked about Indian Bureaucracy. Uppinder has recently trained and consulted on cross-cultural issues with AMP Capital, BlueScope Steel, CSC, Deutschebank, Sun Microsystems and Ernst & Young.

Uppinder has over 20 years of experience working for both Indian and multinational corporations in exports, imports, international tendering and the establishment of joint-venture companies. Uppinder's international career began when he lived and worked in Africa for 12 years prior to migrating to Australia. Uppinder has extensive experience in dealing with government departments in Asia and international organisations such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

Initially Uppinder graduated as a Mechanical Engineer. He then completed post graduate qualifications in International Trade from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
