Sallie Beaumont

Sallie Beaumont is a China specialist. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Italian, she has an excellent understanding of cultural issues and the business environment in both Italy and China. Sallie has ten years experience of living and working in China and was the Executive Director of the Australia China Business Council NSW Branch for five years. Sallie's diverse professional career includes working for a major Italian engineering corporation in China as Business Development Manager, acting as the China Agent for a London art gallery, and running a weekly jazz night in a Beijing teahouse.

In the past year, Sallie has been assisting Beasley Intercultural clients in Beijing, Sydney and Auckland. Her work has focused on enabling better intercultural understanding and collaboration between Western and Chinese colleagues. Feedback from our clients is that Sallie's enthusiasm and love of China shines through and her many anecdotes add another dimension to her work.

Sallie studied Foreign Languages and Literature, (majoring in Chinese) at Rome University "La Sapienza" and was awarded a Chinese State Education Scholarship to study Chinese and Economics and Foreign Trade at the Beijing Language Institute. Her qualifications include the TESOL Certificate (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
